Chris Berning, better known by the pseudonym Alt Fiction, is a visual artist and graphic designer specialising in key art and alternative movie posters as well as traditional graphic design.

With a somewhat unconventional start to his career, Chris began his journey as a live music promoter in his UK hometown, cutting his teeth designing gig posters for artists such as DJ Maseo (De La Soul), Willy Mason and Tom Findlay (Groove Armada) to name a few.

Movies and pop culture, his real passion, heavily influenced the promotional collateral he created during this time, and this eventually culminated in him creating alternative pieces of art based on some of his favourite childhood films.

Since then, Alt Fiction has been steadily building his portfolio, collaborating with some incredible film makers and industry professionals, always excited and ready for the next project.
